Distinctly united / Diversamente uniti / Autrement unis
International Ecumenical Week for Youths (of about 20 to 30 years in age)
Bose monastery, 28st of July and the 3rd of August 2025
Young Christians of different denominations will converge at Bose from all over Europe to learn to live unity in diversity under the guidance of the Apostle Paul and his first letter to the Corinthians.
The days will be marked by moments of prayer in common with the brothers and sisters of Bose.
The mornings will see us engaged in the various work activities of the monastery (vegetable garden, orchard, food and craft workshops), while the afternoons will be dedicated to an in-depth study of the theme according to this programme:
Tuesday 29/07
You belong to Christ (1 Cor 1:10-17. 3:21-23)
It is he, and he alone, who is the foundation of our being Christians. It is he who has set us free so that we might live as new men and women. It is in him that we all died and rose again in baptism.
Wednesday 30/07
Do not scandalise your brother (1 Cor 8)
Respect for others is the true criterion of discernment in our practical choices. Acting according to conscience must always take into account two consciences, mine and his.
Thursday 31/07
You are members of Christ (1 Cor 12)
Christ is our common essential, which relativises, but liberates all differences. This is how unity not only admits diversity, but has a vital need for it.
Friday 01/08
Greater is charity (1 Cor 13)
The fragile are the true glue of every community; it is the common concern for the least that can concretely make us one in the toil of charity.
